STEPPING OUT IN NASHVILLE

Challenge

Design and implement a 5,600-sq.-ft. flagship in downtown Nashville, TN that balanced the Boot Barn brand with the unique character of the Nashville Lower Broadway area.

Strategy

The new design leveraged refurbished and existing historical trademarks of the building, and the authenticity of Boot Barn’s core values were reinforced through the use of handcrafted elements and raw materials. A live musical performance area integrated the spirit of contemporary music to add a modern element to the space.

A redefined and simplified customer path was complimented by a straightforward communications program, and maximized space planning ensured high product density and promotion of featured products.

Result

Boot Barn corporate received rave reviews from customers, community leaders and stakeholders. In a footprint that is 50% smaller than a typical Boot Barn store, the store is the second highest performing store in the chain. In addition to performing results, the store was also completed in less than 6 months from initial kick off meeting to store opening.
